The interviews were conducted in 2000 for a revised edition of 'Unfinished Business', the last programme in the BBC World Service radio documentary series 'India: A People Partitioned' rebroadcast in that year. Transcripts include working notes on the interviews by Whitehead. The file also includes an introduction to the interviews and the radio series by Whitehead.
