description Photograph album of John Sparks Ltd, dealer in Chinese art (London) -containing 96 black and white studio photographic prints of Chinese ceramics, including vases, bowls, libation cups, dishes, human and animal figurines, snuff bottles, brush pots, roof tiles and incense burners. Styles featured include ceramics in Dehua ware or Blanc de Chine, Fujian ware or Fukien ware, famille-rose, famille verte, Cizhou ware or Tz'u-chou ware, and earthenware. Periods of origin featured include ceramics from the Qing (Qianlong, Kangxi, Yongzheng, Daoguang), Sung, Tang, Han, Ming, dynasties. Prints include typescript annotations, some have handwritten annotations indicating that the artwork was exhibited at the Centennial Marco Polo exhibition, 7th, 1954 Venice, Italy. 17 pages contain caption but no print. 1 volume. 111 pp. (loose). Disbound. Cardboard endpapers. No cover.
