Summary: Cassette with typed, annotated transcripts for each side. Subjects covered include: Side one: the voyage from Canda to Japan (1950-1951); staying with Miss Webster Smith in Tokyo; the death of Yamasaki Tei; arriving in Wakamatsu; the foundation of the Aizu Christian Fellowship Mission (ACFM); a young man with TB; a journey to Takayama to collect a new car (named Martha); a holiday home in the North; acquiring a house for the Fellowship. The transcript for this side also includes: extracts from letters sent by Janet at Wakamatsu to Mary Milner (Oka San) describing life in the ACFM and the fundraising needs of the Fellowship - including the acquisition of a car; a long quotation from the ACFM publication 'All of Him', describing the progress of the Foundation and including the 'personal testimony of pastor Kida Sensei of the Aizu Christian Fellowship'. Side two: acquiring a house in Ononi Machi for a Bible School Church; an attempted burglary at the new church. The transcript for this side also includes: extracts from letters sent by janet to Oka San describing setting up a kindergarten and learning to drive. Also includes a cassette marked 'master tape 7 - extra - Takayama: swimming and driving on summer roads to Takayama'. Some of the contents of this tape are transcribed along with the contents of cassette 7, side one.
