Summary: B&W photographic print. 'Konyak. She wears the typical brief wrap skirt of the Konyak and her head is shaved in stripes running from front to back. She is standing on the sitting-out place of her house, a platform made of bamboo and raised several feet above ground level. Similar structures belonging to neighbouring houses may be seen behind. They are used for socialising and as a place for doing household chores, as the houses are windowless and extremely dark inside.'
