One file contains correspondence with individuals primarily relating to literary submissions, purchases and subscriptions to Loshn un Lebn and other enquiries relating to Yiddish literature, language and culture. The majority of letters are signed by D Berman in his capacity as Honorary Secretary of Friends of Yiddish and/or on behalf of Abraham Stencl. The second file contains copies of letters sent by D Berman to the editor of the Jewish Chronicle giving news of the meetings and talks held by the Friends of Yiddish. The letters are mainly in English with a few in Yiddish |
