OCTOBER With wife to Rouen and Paris for cycling, sightseeing and French speaking practice NOVEMBER Mrs Addis ill following miscarriage DECEMBER Attends Chinese Central Railways and British and Chinese Corporation (B&C Corp.). meeting about Chinese railway loans, 'He was alone in his opinion that they should not be teased by the "reforming"; Chinese, but should wait and have patience about those railways.' 12
