Admin history: D.N. Kaul wsa born in 1921. He was a Kashmiri pandit from Srinagar. He was Assistant Superintendent of police in Srinagar city in 1947 and later Superintendent at Baramulla, Kashmir. He retired as Director General of the Jammu and Kashmir police in 1980.
