Admin history: Bir Bahadur Singh was present at the Sikh village of Thoha Khalsa near Rawalpindi in March 1947. The village was the site of a mass suicide of Sikh women during Partition violence. Singh's father was involved in the killing of Sikh women in advance of an feared attack.
