Chenchu man sowing corn seeds

This Chenchu man is sowing corn, using his digging stick to make a hole before placing a few seeds in the earth. The wattle fence protects the area against animals. Only a few Chenchu families cultivated corn, millet, tobacco, tomatoes and chillies, mostly in the plains.
