Building a temporary bridge
These men, mostly Nyishi porters, are building a temporary bridge over the Pangen River, leading to the Nyishi settlement of Pei : the bridge was built in late November 1944, during Christoph von Fürer-Haimendorf's trek from the Apatani valley to Assam.
