Summary: This Nyishi man is chanting while conducting a ritual : He holds a basket of rice powder, with which he will decorate the altar, to which a mithun is tied prior to sacrifice : He wears the traditional hair knot and skewer, cane hat with hornbill beak, wooden discs in the ear lobe and string of metal beads on the hair line : around his waist is a cane belt holding a small knife, and he carries an animal-skin bag and machete : this event probably took place in the Nyishi village of Jorum, not far from the Apatani valley.
