Knox Jr’s stay in the kingdom lasted 19 years, and he recorded his time there in this book which also gives details of the country and its inhabitants. He and a companion escaped in 1679 through Dutch territory, reaching London in September 1680. -- The book has an introduction by Robert Hooke, a founder member of the Royal Society in London.
