The first letter refers to the Rarotonga mission and the arrival of [William Wyatt] Gill and [Henry] Royle. The second gives an account of a 9 month voyage to other islands and mission stations, including Aitutaki, Samoa and Tahiti, and comments particularly on the inhabitants of Tanna.
