July 23 - Sunday: Mr. Tobboys, Methodist, not yet allowed to preach, went to Church of England - describes service. July 24 - regarding Chinese labourers brought in previously. July 26 - Rode to Arima, an Indian town 22 miles from Port of Spain. July 30 - Left on the Lady Spencer, mail boat. August 2 - arrived at Granada, spent day with Mr. Willis Methodist missionary he’d met at Barbados; sailed again. JOURNAL continued. same night. August 4 At St. Vincent, Mr. Thompson, Methodist. Minister. August 5 - sailed for Barbados, reached there on 10th. Preached there. August 31 - sailed for Tobago in the Alagater, his health renewed.
