Admin history: Rev Richard Cecil (d. 1863) was a minister and tutor at Chipping Ongar [Essex] from 1838 to 1847, and before and after these dates at Turvey [Bedfordshire]. His Dissenting Academy is recorded as a preparatory academy for Home and Foreign Missionary students from 1830. David Livingstone was amongst the missionary students trained by him.
