They visited firstly Suva (Fiji Islands), then travelled to Olsenga [Olsega], Fakaofo and Atafu in the Tokelau (Union) group, Nukufetau, Vaitupu and Nanumea in the Ellice group [Tuvalu], Tamana, Onoatoa, Peru [Beru], Nikunau and Arorae in the the Gilbert group [Kiribati] before returning to the Ellice group to visit Nanumanga, Niutao, Nui, Funafuti and Nukulaelae. At each place they received reports from the native pastors, examined the schools, held womens meetings and had many discussions with the people.
