Admin history: Rev Dr Bernard Thorogood was a London Missionary Society missionary in the Pacific from 1952 to 1970, and CCWM/CWM General Secretary from 1970 to 1980. Barrie Downing Scopes served as a missionary in North India with the London Missionary Society from 1956 to 1971, and was later General Secretary of the Council for World Mission.
