The malleability of the language exploitation is achieved through the symbiotic relationship between the language structure and language function. Employing the theory of foregrounding as analytical template, this study discusses graphological patterning of s writers, as communicative tools. The study contends that the graphological techniques have pragmatic forces which are stylistically contrived by the writers to capture readers' attention and interest with a view to entertaining and informing them.
