Admin history: Prior to the Academic Board was the Academic Organisation Committee which was responsible for applying to the University of London for the admission of the School as a School of the University and to communicate with the University in regards to the first appointments of teaching staff. The Academic Organisation Committee ceased to exist after 25 June 1917 and the Academic Board had its first meeting on the 2 October 1917. Access status: Restrictions
Access conditions: Papers of the Academic Board are generally subject to a 30 year closure period although there are some exceptions. Open minutes and papers after November 2003 are available on the SOAS website. For administrative papers over 30 years old some restrictions apply.
