scb_admin_history In March 1972, a Group Research Projects committee was established with the remit to consider and administer applications for the grants of funds to support group research projects. In November 1972 the Group Research Projects committee was renamed the Committee on Research Projects. The Committee of Research Projects was changed to the Research committee in 1985. The Publications committee was initially established as the Text Book committee at the meeting of the Academic Board on 20 June 1935. The Text Book committee changed its name to the Publication committee at the meeting of the Academic Board on 6 June 1946. In 1989, the Research committee combined with the Publications committee to become the Reserach and Publications committee. In June 1993, the Research and Publications committee split into two seperate committees again, the Publications committee and the Research committee. The Publications Sub-Committee and Small Grants Sub-Committee were sub-committees of the Research and Publications Committee.
