In March 1972, a Group Research Projects committee was established with the remit to consider and administer applications for the grants of funds to support group research projects. In November 1972 the Group Research Projects committee was renamed the Committee on Research Projects. As part of this role the committee also took over the responsibility for considering applications relating to individual research projects. |
