description B&W photographic print. 'The Khyeng people live mainly in the Arakan district of Burma. The ones living in the Chittagong Hill Tracts are much influenced by Magh and Chakma culture and have few distinctive features. Many of the men wear Bengali style dhotis, but the man in this picture wears a brief loin cloth, pulled through a string round his waist. His hair is done in Mro fashion, in a bun on the side of his head, with a bone pin stuck through it. His wife wears an ankle length skirt, a breast cloth, and a loosely tied puggaree with red embroidered ends. Her ornaments are mainly silver.'
