Behind this, the main pillars supporting the roof can be seen, carved with representations of men, etc. Behind this are the partitioned off sleeping quarters for the men and boys. Every six years a Morung would be rebuilt, accompanied by ceremony and feasting. In former days a fresh head would have been obtained and hung up in the Morung after each rebuilding.' |
