description B&W photographic print. 'One seen from the front, one from the back, their body cloths tied for occasions such as hunting or war, when both arms must be free. They carry hunting spears, with wooden shafts and iron blades. These are always thrown, and never used for thrusting. The range is not more than thirty yards. The dao, in its wooden holder, is carried in the small of the back. This is the indispensable all purpose tool, used for anything from slaying an enemy, cutting up food, cutting down a tree or cutting one's hair. The man seen on the left is also seen in photographs G.011 and G.012.'
