JANUARY and FEBRUARY Lectures on 'How to Spend Money' and begins writing newspaper article based on lecture notes. MARCH 'Charlie is having a very busy and exciting time in the office and things are going well', 9; Wade Gard'ner arrives to relieve Addis; family holiday in the interior, very wet. APRIL Move to Hankow. MAY Very busy in office with the opening of a Russo-Chinese Bank and the start of the tea season. JUNE Wife and son leave for Japan to escape heat. AUGUST Joins family in Japan for a holiday and is ordered to Korea for talks about the establishment of a Korean national bank. NOVEMBER All return to Hankow.
