Summary: |
Papers re the controversy in the Rampore Boalia mission caused by friction between the two PCE missionaries, the medical missionary Dr Morison and the ministerial missionary, Rev AA Cooper. The matter was compounded by a campaign by some members of the local church to oust Dr Morison. A Commission set up by the Foreign Missions Committee found Dr Morison blameless in the matter and recommended that Mr Cooper be posted elsewhere. Papers include letters and petitions from local church members to the FMC, letter (and draft of letter) from WB Livingstone, Principal of Rajshahi College, other correspondence, committee papers and reports. |
