description |
This class contains photographic material connected with the Hakka mission field. It was previously found in PCE boxes 45, 93, 109, and 111-14 (Series I and Series I additional). The material has been sorted into manageable units of related material. The files have been arranged chronologically as far as is possible, although individual files can cover large date ranges. The photographs show individuals, groups, buildings, and local scenes, featuring missionaries, Chinese Christians, hospitals, schools, etc. The contemporary standard form Wu-king-fu (taken from Edward Band's Working His Purpose Out) has been used instead of Wukingfu, Wu-king-foo, or Wukingfoo. |
