Correspondence with Rev Horace F Wallace and his wife, Dr Hera Wallace. Wallace was appointed ministerial and educational missionary in Swatow {Shantou) in 1903. He remained in China until 1943. In that year he became Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of England. In 1945 he returned to China to help build up Presbyeterian work again after the was against Japan. He finally retired from missionary service in 1947 and died in 1949. |
