Events featured include: the 1st "Tae-Hoe" meeting, Chuan-chow [Quanzhou], October 1893; 1st Synod at Amoy [Xiamen], 1894; Conference of Women Workers, Amoy, July 1898. Other groups include: staff, pupils, and children of the Girls', Women's, Blind, and Boys' Schools, Chuan-chow, the Babies' Home, Girls', Women's, and American Girls' Schools and Theological College, Amoy; English Presbyterian, Reformed Church of America, and London Missionary Society missionaries; Presbytery meetings; Chuan-chow Hospital students; the families of Pastors Liong Lo, Ngo Khun, and Tan; Catherine Ricketts and "her women's school"; "Keswick Missionary Group from China". Other places featured include: Chang-pu [Zhangpu]; Japan, mainly Nikko; Yung-chun [Yongchun]. Also includes: coloured drawings of Chinese scenes, some with biblical or evangelical connotations; hand-coloured commercial photographs of Japanese scenes and customs; a pressed fern. |
