Admin history: Raj Kumari Mahajan was born in Dharamsala in 1918. She was the eldest daughter of M.C. Mahajan, who sat on the 1947 Boundary Commission and served as the Maharaja of Kashmir's last Prime Minister. In 1947, Raj Kumari Mahajan was married with two daughters and she spent much of the Partition period in Pathankot.
