scb_admin_history Brigadier Kuldip Chadha was born in circa 1920 into a Sikh family near Rawalpindi. His family owned property in Srinagar. He joined the British Indian Army in 1942. In 1947 he was a Captain in the Frontier Force Rifles. Chadha was airlifted to Srinagar on October 28 1947. He advanced to Baramulla with 'Bogey' Sen, on to Uri, and from there to Poonch. Chadhra remained in Kashmir for around one year.
