scb_admin_history Bapsi Sidhwa was born in Karachi in 1938 into a Parsi Zoroastrian family. Her family later moved to Lahore. She studied at Kinnaird College for Women in Lahore. In 1991, Sidhwa wrote 'Ice Candy Man' (republished as 'Cracking India'), a novel which deals with the Partition of India and its aftermath. She resides in Houston, USA.
