scb_admin_history Tanvir Ahmad Khan was a diplomat from Pakistan. Khan was born in 1932 in Hoshiarpur, eastern Punjab. Following Partition he migrated to Lahore, Pakistan. He was educated at Government College, Lahore. He served as Pakistan's ambassador to the Russian Federation, Bangladesh, Czechoslovakia, Iran, and France. He served as the 19th Foreign Secretary under the Government of Benazir Bhutto between 1989 and 1990.
