Manmohan M. Khanna was born in 1915 into a Hindu Pathan family in Peshawar. He was an officer in the pre-war Indian Army and during the Second World War fought with the 15th Punjabi Regiment, stationed in Singapore and the Middle East. He Rreturned to Lucknow following the war. In October 1947 Khanna was sent to Kashmir in charge of a battalion in advance from Sringar. He retired as a Lieutenant-General in the Indian Army. Died in February 1997. |
