Subjects: 1) The baby is flourishing and very pretty but Arthur is concerned about the strain on Connie of breast feeding and a swelling of one breast, though it is getting better. 2) Mrs Stooke praised for her helpfulness especially in sleeping with the Douthwaites at night to relieve the strain on them both. 3) The Hudson Taylors expected within days: he will decide on the new school building etc. 4) Both the Judds need to return to England without delay; his mental condition a cause for concern.
