Subjects: 1) Constance sends pressed flowers picked on the hills above Chefoo, 2) She reflects on her faith and Christianity among missionaries, 3) Mr Sturman is given a piece of Constance’s hair to enable the barber to re-attach his ‘tail’ to his head. 4) Constance makes clothes for the doll of a sick child, 5) Her working days are so full that she has little time for sewing for herself. 6) If the Judds return to Ninghai leaving the two elder boys at school at Chefoo, Constance will have more time for serious study of Chinese.
