Admin history: Rev Hendrick Gerard James (1902-1983) served the (Wesleyan) Methodist Missionary Society in their French West Africa District from 1927 to 1937 and in their Northern Rhodesia District from 1937 to 1948. Grace Mary James (née Dunham) (1902-1984) served the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society in their French West Africa District from 1928 to 1931 working in education and then working with her husband in the same district and later in the Methodist Missionary Society Northern Rhodesia District.
