Summary: This class contains photographic material connected with the work of the WMMS and MMS in Northern India, covering Lucknow, Bengal and Bombay [Mumbai]. The items show individuals, groups, buildings, and local scenes, featuring missionaries, local Christians, hospitals, schools, etc. Where possible, each place name is identified by a contemporary standard form (generally taken from the Society's Annual Reports) and also by a current modern standard form (generally taken from the Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names) where this has been identified as different.
