Summary: Received letter via Coke regarding suggested changes in law which will remove some of the problems Methodists have had on Jersey. Suggests the consequences Dundas states regarding training the Scots on the use of arms on Sundays would not apply to the Methodists in Jersey. Not surprised by the fate of the bill given the vague wording. There are a few individual Methodists who would refuse to carry arms but he argues that no principle should subvert social cohesion. Offers his support.
