Admin history: Rev William Turnbull Balmer (1866-1928) served the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society as a missionary in Sierra Leone from 1901 to 1909 & 1914 to 1921 and their Gold Coast District from 1909 to 1911. Rev Hugh Ernest Thomas (1915-1992) served the Methodist Missionary Society as a missionary in Sierra Leone from 1939 to 1946 & 1977 to 1981, The Gambia from 1948 to 1949 and their Gold Coast District from 1949 to 1967.
