Admin history: Rev George Piercy (1829-1913) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in their Canton District of China from 1851 until 1883. He married twice: Joan Wannop in 1853 and Annie Taylor (d.1878) in 1877. Rev Thomas Crosby (1840-1914) served as a minister for the Methodist Church of Canada amongst the Tsimshian Indians
