Summary: Correspondence relating to the Kenya district of the Methodist Missionary Society, 1933-1950. Correspondence primarily consists of letters from missionaries to the secretaries of the Society regarding their work and from the district chairman on issues concerning missionary work within their district. Some files also include copies of outgoing letters sent to missionaries and district chairman by the secretaries. Originally, Kenya was a United Methodist Missionary Society mission district (1852-1932). No records are extant for this period. Correspondence are available from 1933, coinciding with the formation of the Methodist Missionary Society.
