Correspondence relating to the West Indies missions and districts of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society and Methodist Missionary Society, 1802-1951. Correspondence primarily consists of letters from missionaries to the secretaries of the Society regarding their work and from the district chairman on issues concerning missionary work within their district. Some later files also include copies of outgoing letters sent to missionaries and district chairman by the secretaries. General correspondence dates from 1803 to 1857 and from 1903. Conference correspondence exists from 1880 to 1902. Correspondence for specific areas is available as follows: Antigua (1833-1890), Bahamas (1835-1951), Barbados (1905-1950), British Guiana (1867-1950), British Honduras (1833-1950), Demerara (1858-1867), Haiti/Santo Domingo (1834-1930), Jamaica (1833-1950), Leeward Islands (1905-1950), St Vincent (1858-1890) and Trinidad (1905-1950).
