| Admin history: | At a meeting of the Home Organisation Committee on 3 October 1946 it was agreed that four sub-committees should be created to assist with the committee in its work. The Literature Sub-committee was tasked with oversight of all of the publications produced by the Home Department and first met on 18 October 1946. |
