People include: mother and child with tropical ulcers; Hilda, daughter of indigenous priest Rev George Gilandi; Bishop John Coleridge Patteson; Buleuru, orphan of Raga; Harry, son of David, indigenous teacher at Lamalana, Raga; malnourished child on admission to hospital and five months later when healthy and discharged. Activites include: mission nurse administering medical treatment to mother and child and training women in Mothercraft; girls of Bunana school floating coconuts to the other side of the island; travelling to attend Holy Communion, New Britain; cane swallowing, New Britain; Places or buildings include: maps of Guadalcanal, Australia, Malaita, Florida Islands; altar of Kumbun church, New Britain; Godden memorial Hospital, Lolowai, Aoba; interior of J R Selwyn memorial church, Siota, including relic of mat in which Bishop Pattson's body was found at Nukapu; Taroaniara with remains of mission headquarters destroyed during hostilities of World War Two; Also includes: Cecil Wilson, Southern Cross, Patteson and Gwenn boats. |
