Ritual specialist in upland Kerala
This ritual specialist in upland Kerala (probably among the Ulladan) is dressed much like his counterparts among Hindu castes in the lowlands. He holds a sword, blows a conch and wears a belt of bells and horizontal ash marks on his body. Only his cap, possibly made of leather, is unusual.
