Summary: |
These men and women have gathered at the edge of a tank (with steps, behind them) at the famous Siva Grishneshwar temple in Daulatabad, near Aurangabad. Having bathed, they now appear about to peform a ritual using the coconuts in front of them. The two men with their backs to the camera and wearing sacred threads are Brahmins. This temple is one of the 12 jyotirlingam temples dedicated to Siva in his form as a 'lingam of light.' |
