Porters climbing in Arunachal Pradesh
These porters (mostly Nyishi and Galo men) are carrying supplies for Christoph von Furer-Haimendorf and his party on his first visit to the Apatani valley in March 1944. The flowers in the foreground apear to be primulas, which grew abundantly near the Apatani valley.
