Chenchu men dancing and playing a drum

The dancing Chenchu man brandishes a knife and a stick, while the drummer plays on goat-skin stretched over tamarind wood, using a piece of bamboo and a dried stick of tamarind. This dance took place during the season when liquor is distilled from the mohua flower (Bassia latifolia).
