Chenchu boy with bow and arrows

This Chenchu boy holds the bow and arrows with which he and other males hunted for food in the surrounding forest. Although Chenchus did hunt, their catch was typically meagre (a jungle-fowl or two). The bamboo bow, strung with deer sinew, is used with bamboo arrows, some tipped with iron.
